Should Christians be in debt?

Should Christians carry heavy credit card balances?
Should Christians purchase cars and houses that keeps them living week to week?
Should Christians pay tithes (like you can really pay God) when they can’t pay their bills?

  1. Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Proverbs 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

The bible teaches us to owe no man anything but, love. The bible also teaches us that we will become the slave of the one we are indebted too. If you life is comsumed with paying bills, you have allowed yourself to become a slave to this world.
