Let me ask you a question Kenny:

What if you know at one point of time a minister was a powerful servant of God beyond no shadow of a doubt. Then, you noticed the ministry has lost members, preaching about they self, and what I would consider leading people astray. How do you properly judge this person, wouldnt u have to judge the fruit according … Read Moreto the bible, although I know we pray for one anotehr and all that but why would it make it acceptable just because they were once walking right and have went astray. Not laymen I’m talking about leaders or would u say God order wld be to send in a Prophet to warn them, but what about the people’s money that took and laid astray..I ‘m looking for guidance on this one..I’m battling this right now…

  1. Lisa, this is one of the gravest matters within the institutionalized church. I don’t really believe any men who say they are called to pastor start out this way. I think for the most part when they first start their hearts are truly set on doing the will or God. However, without true accountability no man will maintain the pure virtue God desires of him. When people begin to praise man for his ability to preach, sing, etc… the man’s ego and pride opens the door for the enemy to come in. Leaders need to be accountable for their action, but when their counterparts are experiencing the same issues; who’s going to check who? Paul confronted Peter for his hypocrisy. Should we judge them? I think it is a leader’s responsibility to judge each other with the measure of God, the same in which they want to be judged; judged in a standard of love, to restore them. However, this doesn’t happen and really because we have stepped outside of the order of God. For too long we have allow the pastor to serve outside his gifting and it has become normal and mostly expected at some point for him to fall. Nowhere in the bible do we find if biblical for a pastor to be leading a body of believers in such a way that he is in control of everything, dealing with the money, building edifices and all the other things they do. A pastor’s job is caring for, teaching and praying for God’s people, which is a handful within itself especially if he has a family he should be ministering to first. This problem will continue to exist within the church until we start educating our selves according to the word of God.

    It is time for us to start tearing down the altars made by the traditions of men. People will continue to be hurt and led astray and money mishandled as long as we continue in what we perceive as normal. We have raised the pastor and bishop’s servant position to that of king. Likening to that of a custodian his job is to look after valuable property on behalf of a company or we another person; this is a pastor responsibility as well to look after God valuable property (us God’s children) until He returns. God’s people need to stop running after the next great bishop to make them jump, dance and feel good. It is time to understand the gifts that God has given the body of Christ to edify its self. We need to study the book of Acts, and put our pastors back into their rightful positions and look for qualified who are able to carry out the other tasks. God’s people, we control our destiny! God has equipped us with everything we need; it’s up to us to study the instruction manual in how it works. God takes us though things to teach and it is up to us what we do with what we are taught. We can be lead by God to make a difference or we can get mad and stay anger, in which state God cannot use us.

    I have been where you are my sister, twice. The first time I fail the test, my pastor at that time was not only stealing money from the church, he was taking the checks my wife and I wrote signed his name to them and cashed them. I donated brand new computers to the church; he took them and sold them and kept the money himself. We confronted him about it, he told us his father was a pastor and told him he didn’t have to ask anyone for money when he needed it. When everything begin to come out; we went to the men that was over him with overwhelming proof they blew it all off and moved him to another city and placed him over another church. This was one of the worst times in my Christian experience, my wife and I had grown to be faithful givers of our first fruits. My second pastor didn’t steal any money directly; however, allowed space for poor stewardship of the funds. This time God gave me an immediate release as I was prepared to complete what he had for me. The criticism came, but God had prepared me for such a time as this.
    My sister, don’t worry about the money that was taken or mishandled. Now is the time to seek God for what he wants you to do with what you have experienced. God’s people who are not attracted by entertainment know the church has failed; but what is their alternate. Most have already church hopped from one church to another and eventually it’s the same old, same old. Either they settle for what they perceive is God best or stop going to church altogether.

    For seven months I sat at home and cried out to God after I left the institutionalized church, He restored my strength and gave me a vision. People need to see leaders in a difference light blasted in my spirit. God gave me simple instructions: first, every chance you get, tell your story and don’t be afraid to stand against the religious set. Second, start a ministry which has not membership, once people except my Son as Savior they are members of the body of Christ no other initiation is required. Don’t except one red penny to preach, teach, sell my word or take a love offering. You are not a hired hand. Do not pay anyone to serve me. Do not take up an offering I will lead those to give and it’s not your business to know who gives what, I will give you qualified men to carry out those duties. I will make known to you people who will be in need of my resources, give it without recognition of you are the ministry only a gift as from God.

    My sister don’t get upset, don’t get anger in the mist of this test, I feel your pain, I wept with you; however seek God for understanding for your purpose of going through. Too many of today’s leaders have failed to carry the armor of the Lord to stand for truth, despite losing their next preaching gig. Leaders need accountability and to remain within their gifting. I pray that this will help you in your situation.

    My Sister, never let the multitude of one’s following act as an indicator of his or her anointing. Michael Jackson drew multitudes with his gift, which by no means was an indicator of any anointing.

    God Bless!

  2. For now, i dont have much time to express the message in my Spirit but I’ll do quick summary.
    On the first note, i want us to know that a ministry is all about God. Once once it is serving Her purpose in the Lord, you can be sure she will not die. Jesus said concerning Peter, on this rock i will build my church and the gate of hell shall not prevail. Therefore satan cannot upturn the plan of God for His church but it the vessel in charge is not walking according to the mind of God it is certain that though the building carries a billboard of church of God, it has cease to be a church of God once the light of God’s trith is no more on their altar.
    …Revealation 3:7-12
    7 ¶ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
    8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
    9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
    10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
    11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
    12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
    I’ll come back later!
