Falsely Accused
There’s no dishonor in being falsely accused; it happens to the best of us.
Being falsely accused is difficult to handle. In fact, it may be one of the most difficult obstacles you will every face–and make no mistake about it, you will face it. If you don’t believe that, think about Jesus. He was the only perfect being who ever lived on earth, and yet He faced accusations that contained no shred of truth. He was brought before the most powerful religious and political leaders of His day and falsely accused of many things. Jesus could have defended Himself, but he was silent. Why?
Jesus was willing to let His life speak for itself. He knew that God would vindicate Him. When others try to discredit you, are you willing to let God defend you? If you are falsely accused and suffer for doing right, don’t assume you are the only one who can protect and defend your reputation. Do what Jesus did and trust God to take care of the situation.
For we know the one who said, “I will take vengeance. I will repay those who deserve it.”
