Self-Discipline

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Titus 2: 11, 12 NIV

In Other Words
God’s saving grace appears to everyone. He trains us to live righteous, self-controlled godly lives by refusing to yield to our ungodly nature.

Small Bites
✓ God’s grace is for everyone
✓ Our self-control is God’s desire
✓ Self-discipline must be our desire
✓ Righteousness is our goal, not our option
✓ Relief from self-destruction is only as strong as our commitment to God
✓ Abstinence without God-given love and service creates empty victories
✓ No one is worthy of the compassion God gives freely
✓ Godliness is not merely living a good life
✓ Righteousness comes through godly living all our life
✓ Just say NO to anything that blocks the view of our Savior
✓ You’ve received forgiving grace from above
✓ Are you responding to Him in love?
