Reject Rejection

A person has yet to be born who is worthy of rejection.

One of the main reasons we pass judgment on people is for the purpose of rejecting them. We want them out of our sight and out of our mind. So we judge them, reject them, and move on to another victim. That sounds terrible, and yet we’re all guilty of seeing people that way, even people we’ve never met.

Here’s a way to get out of the ugly cycle of judgment and rejection. Whenever you meet people, whether you know them or not, try to see them the way Jesus does. Don’t try to figure out if they love God (that’s not for you to judge). Instead, see others as people Jesus loves so much that He died for them. If you begin to see people in this way, not only will you accept them, but you may be used by God to share the Good News of God’s love with them.

Yes indeed, it is good when you truly obey our Lord’s royal command found in the Scriptures: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” James 2:8
