Our View is Limited

Rather than worry about what you don’t know about God, concentrate on what you do know.

Humans are a curious bunch, and we’re also impatient, a combination that explains why we jump to conclusions so often. This is especially true of our relationship with God. There’s so much about Him that we don’t know, and rather than being patient and waiting for Him to give us the right information at the appropriate time, we conclude that either He doesn’t care about us or isn’t able to help us. Both of these conclusions are dead wrong, but it’s all we’ve got because we don’t know any more.

The only way to avoid these frustrating conclusions is to concentrate on what we do know about God and trust Him for the rest. We need to trust that He has the world in His hands, and He has us in His hands. We can’t see the big picture, but He can, and He’s working everything out for our ultimate good.

People cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11c
